Stories of Us - October 18, 2019

Partnership Educators,

What a great group we had last night at the first Portrait of a Graduate event.  There were seventy-plus community members discussing and talking about twelve trends as presented by our moderator Mike Nicholson from Battelle for Kids.  I was personally fascinated by the pace of change compared with life span.  It explained how the rate or amount of change in our lifetimes is far greater from any previous generation.  That blew my mind.   It was a great discussion at every table and I really enjoyed the time.   I can't wait for the next meetings on our way to developing the Portrait of a Graduate profile.

Thanks to all of those that work at the district office who helped to set up the event and then tearing it down after the event was over to get ready for Friday events in the PDC.

We had lots of people making guesses from last week's message around my hints.  Only one of you actually guessed the correct item.  Congratulations Christina Porras for her wise guess  :).   ðŸ˜€   I hope you are enjoying the small token of appreciation for this year.   I love my glass cloth and use it often.

I will get back to stories next week.  I appreciate those of you that share how these stories impact you and also the stories that you know that you share with me.

check these out:

Have a great weekend,
Rob
