Transitional Kindergarten Information

The Kindergarten Readiness Act of 2010, allows for the creation of Transitional Kindergarten for the youngest kindergarten students. This is a two year program where the second year is focused on mastery of the kindergarten content standards.

Standards Content Booklets

What our students should know by the end of each grade level in English Language Arts: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking and Mathematics: Counting and Cardinality, Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations in Base Ten, Operations – Fractions, Measurement and data, and Geometry.  These booklets also contain College and Career Readiness Standards, testing cut scores and ideas on how you can help you child at home.

The Redding School District policies are found within this online tool.  Gamut is an online policy information service that incorporates the complete CSBA Policy Update Reference Manual along with a complete set of the Education Code.
